Your Member Annual Statement is Ready

Your Member Annual Statement includes valuable information about your NYSLRS membership and benefits that can help you plan for retirement. You can view your 2020 Statement right now by signing into Retirement Online. If you don’t already have an account, you can register today.

From your Retirement Online Account Homepage, go to the ‘My Account Summary’ area of the page, click the “View My Member Annual Statement” button and follow the steps. You will also be able to print or save your Statement.

Delivery of Your Member Annual Statement

NYSLRS members who chose email delivery of their Statement in Retirement Online already received an email informing them that their Statement is available online. All other members will receive their 2020 Member Statement in the mail by the end of June — mailing will begin soon and distribution will take about seven weeks to complete.

New Look for 2020

This year’s Member Annual Statement has a new, streamlined look that presents your benefit and membership information in a clear, comprehensive and easy-to-read format. Your Statement includes the retirement information we have provided to you in prior years, but in a format that makes online viewing easier.

Update Your Delivery Preference for Next Year

Want to be notified by email next year when your Statement is ready? Sign in to Retirement Online to change your Statement delivery preference. Go to the ’My Profile Information‘ section on your Retirement Online Account Homepage, click “update” next to ‘Member Annual Statement By,’ then choose “email” from the dropdown menu.

Remember, your 2020 Statement provides your account information as of March 31, 2020. To view your current membership information any time throughout the year, sign in to your Retirement Online account.

    I expected more of you since you have said you have labored long and hard to improve your website and in particular, “Retirement Online”. However, it remains a very clunky online presence that shows no obvious signs of improvement. Exhibit #1: You have just sent out an email announcing the availability of “annual member statements”, but when I log into Retirement Online, there is nothing there – nada, nothing, zilch. No link to “annual member statements” under “account summary”, as you said, here.

    Do you folks ever connect the dots? Or shall I go on with Exhibit #2, Exhibit #3, ad nauseum?

      If you are a NYSLRS member, you should find several green buttons under “I want to…” in the My Account Summary section, including one titled “View My Member Annual Statement.” If you are a retiree, you will not see this button because retirees do not receive Member Annual Statements. Retiree Annual Statements were mailed in February.

      There are other possible reasons why you may not receive a statement. Visit our Member Annual Statement page (see link below), select “General Statement Questions” and read the last FAQ; “Why didn’t I receive my Member Statement?”

    Perhaps it would be useful (to say the least) to include that info when you send out an email blast to NYSLRS members and retirees alike, stating that “member annual statements are now available”, to wit: “Note the following: Retirees do not receive Member Annual Statements. Retiree Annual Statements were mailed in February”.

    Now, that’s THINKING.

    If you’re a retiree, you don’t get a Member Annual Statement – which also confounded me until I was told by these folks that retirees get their own separate statements at a different time. I suggested that when they send out these announcements they could relieve a lot of potential confusion by simply mentioning that fact in the announcement. Are you listening, NYSLRS?

    I am trying to see my annual statement but when I try logging in the site tell me that the website and online services are not working. Why? I should be able to do this until 11 PM

    Question, so I just viewed online statement, and it does NOT have all the information that a printed one we used to get in the mail.

    -it does not have all the previous years listed,
    -it does not show the projected monthly retirement benefit showing it at different age and retirement years

    this to me is not improved and show less information,

    please advise how I can see the projected benefit as in the past depending on years of service/age etc.

      Most Tier 2 – 6 members can now use Retirement Online to create a NYSLRS pension estimate based on the salary and service information we have on file for you.

      Go to the My Account Summary section of your Retirement Online account homepage and click the Estimate my Pension Benefit button. With a Retirement Online estimate, you can enter different retirement dates and beneficiaries, customize your estimate by adjusting your earnings or service credit, and save or print your estimate.
